The Standalone version would be a great choice for most PC users to evaluate the software quickly . Unfortunately you can not have both versions installed onto a same PC. You need to uninstall Virtual Painter 4 Plug-In version before you install Virtual Painter 5 Plug-In version. However, Virtual Painter 5 includes all 16 painters of version 4 also. If you like to continue to use some painters of version 4, please follow the steps below.

	Run Virtual Painter 5 Plug-In version. The main dialog box should show up. Click doggy icon to open Filter dialog. You'll see 16 preview image of filters. By default all these 16 painters' skill is set to High Skill. You can change the skill of specific painters to Standard Skill by right-clicking on the preview image and click Standard Skill. Standard Skill painters will create the same result as with Virtual Painter 4, basically.

	NOTES: In most cases, we recommend you to use High Skill. Dynamic Scaling and Deformation with Focus Points features are disabled when using Standard Skill. In order to adjust the scale with Standard Skill, open the Adjust dialog box and select any target output size from the Scale dropdown list. In order to compare the brushwork of Standard and High Skill, compare the final paintings, not the preview images. Dynamic Scale is disabled when using Standard Skill, so there may be some differences between the preview and the final paintings. Please note that there may be differences between the final painting of ver. 5.0's Standard Skill and ver. 4.0, even if you use the same painter. The reason for that is that we have updated some materials (background textures) and others. top

	With Corel Paint Shop Pro 10.02, I can't use Virtual Painter Plug-In version. This issue has been corrected in 10.03 update patch for Paint Shop Pro. Please see detail on Corel's web site. top
