Installing Virtual Painter 4 for Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2

1. Run the setup file to start installation program. Once the InstallShield Wizard window appears, click Next.s

2. Click and select "I accept the terms in the license agreement", then click Next.

3. Click Next.

4. Click Next. Virtual Painter 4 will be installed into C:\Plugins\VirtualPainter4\.

5. Click Install to start copying the files.

6. Click Finish to exit the installation program.

7. Electronic Registration window appears. Click Skip to close the window.

8. Start Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 and select File > Preferences > File Locations to open File Locations dialog.

9. Click "Plug-ins" on the left panel, then click Add.

10. Specify C:\Plugins\VirtualPainter4 and click OK.

11. Make sure that C:\Plugins\VirtualPainter4 is added to the list and click OK.

12. Exit and restart Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2. Open any full color image. Select Effects > Plugins > Virtual Painter > Virtual Painter 4 to open Virtual Painter 4 main window.

If you don't see Virtual Painter under the Effects menu...

Make sure to restart Paint Shop Pro Photo X2. Additional plugin folder can't be recognized before restart. Virtual Painter 4 will be loaded and available after restart.

 
Virtual Painter 4 under the Effects menu is dimmed (in gray) and you can't select it...
  • No images are open. Please open an image before you start Virtual Painter 4.
  • Or, current image has 16bits/channel color. Virtual Painter 4 does not support 16bits/channel color images. Please select Image > Decrease Color Depth > RGB - 8bits/channel to convert it into 8bits/channel image.
