Tutorial - How easily to use

1. Starting ArtStudioPro
|
Once the installation is complete, ArtStudioPro shortcut icon is created on your desktop. Double-click the icon to start ArtStudioPro.

2. Open your image |
Select File > Open to show Open Image.. dialog box. Select a image and click Open. Supported file formats are .bmp, .jpg, .png, .tif and .psd.
Your image is opened on ArtStudioPro main window.
If you like to start ArtStudioPro as a plug-in of your favorite graphic application (e.g. Adobe Photoshop CS2), please start your CS2 first, open your image, then select Filter > TwistingPixels > Art Studio Pro.

3. Load a preset |
Select File > Load Preset... to open Preset dialog box, where you can choose a category on the left and specific preset on the right. To load a preset, just choose a category, then on the right pane find the visual of the preset you want to load. Just select it and click OK. You can also click Presets button on Layers Palette to open Preset dialog box.
In this tutorial , TechnicalPen7.pre in Technical Pen category is selected.
Once you load a preset, one or more filter effects will be automatically applied to your original image. For example, TechnicalPen7.pre preset applies 3 different filter effects; ColoredPencilOutline, TechnicalPenOutline and UnderLayment filter. Each filter is shown as a layer on Layers Palette.
Once ArtStudioPro completes applying filter effects, the painting is shown on the screen. Select File > Save... to save the painting.

Adjusting layer |
Before you save a painting, you can adjust each filter effect layer of the painting. Click and select a layer on Layers Palette, then adjust the controls of the layer. Available controls depend on the layer. Please see the manual pdf for detail description of each control.

Applying filter effects manually |
|
Using Presets is very convenient to create a quality painting instantly. Howerver, you can select and apply any filters you like manually. Select any filter from Filter menu. Of course, you can apply multiple filters on a single image. For example, first you might apply ColoredPencil, then Crayon, then CrayonInside, then... etc.

Multi-language interface |
|
Spanish, German, Italian and French interfaces are also avaiable.
Click the flag icon on upper right of the program window to switch the interface language.
