Features for Standalone version only

Batch Processing

This feature allows you to apply a selection of one or more painter effect(s) to a group of photos automatically. A sample workflow of batch processing is as below.

  1. Run Virtual Painter Classic Standalone version and select File > Batch.
  2. Batch Processing dialog box appears. Here, you need to select one or more files and filters before starting a batch processing.

  • Add image file(s) to Input Files list.
Select File > Add. Choose image file(s) to add dialog box appears. You can add multiple (max 256) image files to this list.
  • Select filter(s)
You can select one or more filters. Click a filter name on Filter list to select. Use Ctrl or Shift key to select multiple filters.

On the screen above, we added 3 image files (CIMG4919, 4837 and 4883.jpg) and selected 4 filters (Rabica, Purts, Saplet and Targelin). This means that the following 12 files will be automatically processed (3 images x 4 filters = 12).

Paint From Scratch and Direct Paint

These features allow you to create your paintings with much fewer clicks of your mouse and streamline your workflow.

For example, With the Plug-In version of Virtual Painter Classic, if you want to try multiple filters one after the other applied to a single image, you'll need to

  1. open an image.
  2. run Virtual Painter Classic.
  3. apply a filter.
  4. Once done, press Ctrl + Z and go back to the original image.
  5. rerun Virtual Painter Classic.
  6. apply another filter.
  7. repeat step 4. - 6. as necessary.

But with the Standalone version, all you have to do is to

  1. open an image.
  2. apply a filter (right-click on the image and select a filter).
  3. Once done, apply another filter (right-clicking the image and select another filter).
  4. repeat step 3. as necessary.

You'll see you don't need to press Ctrl+Z before step 3. in order to revert to the original. When you apply a different filter, the program automatically revert the current image to the original as long as Paint from Scratch feature is on. And with the Standalone version, in order to apply a filter, simply right-click the image and select any filter you want from the menu (we call this "Direct Paint"). These features would make your workflow much simpler than with the Plug-In version.
